A Question about Paradise Handicap room

I use a wheelchair and have booked a handicap room on Carnival's Paradise. I had a choice of either room R298 or another room just under the main lounge on the Empress deck. I wanted to be on the empress floor, but was afraid the noise would be too much from the public room above, so I opted for the the lower one. I am having reservations about this now though. The room is "all by itself" which makes me think that maybe all that "clear" area around it is the smoke stack, which would put the engines right below us? I am a light sleeper and would not be able to sleep if this is the case. Is there anyone here who has been in this room? Was it noisy/loud? Thank you for any information you can give me on this.
