Evening On Board Ship In Honolulu

Hey I was just wondering if anyone who got back from Hawaii could tell me what the onboard entertainment was like on the late night in Hawaii.

 

Did they have Hawaiian entertainment and a big sail away party?

"Hawaiian entertainment" on my Infinity cruise was pretty lame and I don't recall a "big" sailway party. If your ship overnights in Honolulu I strongly advise you to go into the city that evening and eat at a nice restaurant (Roy's, Indigo, Alan Wong, etc) and stoll around Waikiki.

No overnight in Honolulu, Just a late departure at around 11:00 PM. We we were in Acopulco, they had a very good Ballet Follorico and Mariachi's come onboard for the Evening Entertainment, with a huge party on deck.

 

So they didin't do anything like that for you in Honolulu, but with a Hawaiin theme?

No, they did not. They had a Hawaiian theme party when we did an overnight in Maui. That was the one that was "lame" and many folks went into Lahaina for their evening's entertainment.

Hi,

 

When we sailed Hawaii to Vancouver, B.C. on Summit, departure evening featured a sailaway party and entertainment by a hula school. We felt the show was good, featuring youthful dancers from age 4 - 21. I've seen many hula school exhibitions in the Islands over the years, and this was as good an any.

 

If there's no entertainment, do avail yourself of the Aloha Pier's close proximity to shops and restaurants, or take a very reasonably priced cab to things farther afield.

I enjoyed the Hula show put on by the hawaiian children while we were in Honolulu.

 

They also had a sailaway party.

 

Not much else went on that night.

 

Oh I forgot the cruise critic party was scheduled for that night but I didn't make It.
