We have booked a cruise on Ventura through an online TA. As we are leaving home a few days before sailing day, and as we thought that the tickets would arrive 14 days before sail date we got a bit anxious when they had not arrived with only a few days to go.

So after a number of phone calls we finally got an e ticket mailed to us. Also a downloaded sheet with minimal information. We had the excursions booklet through the post in plenty of time but have had no luggage lables etc or the cruise pack from P&O. The P&O rep I rang said there will be plenty on the dockside. Well thanks we will really look forward to that.

Is this usual? We are used to getting pre cruise info from the cruise company in plenty of time, and though we do not expect the leather folder we got when we booked our first ever one on QE2 this does all seem a bit sparce.

Is it just a Ventura thing.

No it is not!

We have been on Ventura twice and the tickets arrived 3-4 weeks before departure, complete with luggage labels. Same on other P&O ships. Maybe its something to do with your TA.

Nevertheless, they have blank luggage labels available at the terminal.

What happened to the rest of the posts? Ah well. We are sailing on the 24th. of this month, and we really only booked because we were already taking a few days break on the IOW and when this offer came up via a TA who's name I cannot reveal, we thought, as you do, that as we would be in Soton. on the 24th anyway, why not.

We have only ever sailed with P&O in the past aboard Oriana, so we are a little aprehensive about the big "V", but the weather forcast seems to be picking up so we are in a positive mood right now.

I will post our impressions here when we get back.

Did your luggage labels come with your tickets (inside the booklet) or haven't your tickets come either? Or is it just requested tickets sent on their own?

Luggage labels are always in the ticket booklet at the back?
