skf Posted April 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Shogun...It is obvious that you are expected to have friends in England to whom you should give your unwanted luggage. Steve

skf Posted April 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2009 With baggage arrangements like this there is no fear of someone's stealing your bag...they couldn't afford to!!
Sauvignon Posted April 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2009 The BA website suggests that in many cases the 'most generous' baggage allowance applies. Take a look or check with them. http://www.britishairways.com/travel/bagchk/public/en_gb
Megsdad Posted April 18, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2009 If it is a through booking you should be allowed 2 bags on both legs
Biro Posted April 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Shogun, my recent princess cruise showed the same details for the Heathrow to Glasgow legs of the journey. As flights were all booked via Princess now problems with 2x 23kg only problem i had to carry them and extra luggage allowance gave someone a great excuse to take extra shoes. JPRLHR Posted April 18, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2009 On this occasion don't blame BA. If you were to book a ticket direct with the airline ex GLA to anywhere in the US via LHR you'd get a two bag allowance on all sectors in both directions. I suggest you have a word with Princess as they probably get cheaper tickets by booking seperate sectors. Oh and enjoy the terminal 5 experience. Now it's been running a while and the BAA have sorted out their problems, it really is a dream to use.

caber Posted April 19, 2009 #12 Share Posted April 19, 2009 Hi Shogun, We are coming back Miami, Newark, Edinburgh. 2 x 23 kilos each way. We thought we had the same problem going as we go through Heathrow. Maybe I will check too.
