Casino

We just returned this morning from the MSC Orchestra.

The casino seemed to be about the same size as on other comparable-sized ships. It had plenty of slot machines, from 1 cent to 1 dollar. I believe that there were two roulette tables. BTW, they had a double-zero on the wheel, so it was an American wheel, even though it is a European ship. There was a craps table, several blackjack tables, and a couple that played some sort of poker, but in a table layout similar to blackjack. There was also a Texas-holdem table, but I don't think that I ever saw anyone playing there, although I did overhear someone in the dining room talking about a game, so it must have been used at some time.

The hours were pretty standard: closed while in port, opened shortly after sailing. On sea days, the slots were turned on around 10:30am, but the table games and the bar didn't open until about 6:30. Once opened, it stayed open very late. In the daily program, it would give the time as "6:30pm until ??".

We've never sailed on the Peosia, so I can't say if it is any different. I suspect that it is no different.
