portlandpete Posted April 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2009 What would someone do if they didn't like the set dining times?? Are there enough resturants so you wouldn't have to go to the main dining room? We like anytime dining and wondered if there is anything like that on Carnival?? Thanks for your help! Froufie Posted April 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I believe on many of the ships now you have a choice of traditional dining (2 set times - early or late seating) or personal choice dining - this is when you show up anytime you wish - however it is still takes place in the main dining room. If you don't want to eat in the MDR of course you can also visit the buffet or grill or pizza place for dinner at your choice of time.

portlandpete Posted April 20, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted April 20, 2009 Thank you for the all the information! It really answered my questions about the dining. All the ships I am looking at say anytime dining isn't until Summer 2010 and we want to cruise in the spring of 2010:mad: Not sure what to do now because we have been wanting to try Carnival. But the set dining is a problem for us because we don't want to be on a schedule. Carnival looks like so much fun!
arpie05 Posted April 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2009 it says BY summer 2010. the dates only go to February 2010 so I wouldn't let that be a big deal.
