Lobez Posted April 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I will be leaving from the Pan-American Pier and know that there is a duty free there. Do you need to check in and have your Cruise card before you can purchase duty free? I don't want to wait in a line for liquor only to find out I need to come back. Any info would be appreciated. RayInPR Posted April 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2009 You have to go through ship check-in before you even get to the duty free shop.
frugaltravel Posted April 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Does this liquor get confiscated on RCCL and given back at the end of the cruise? I heard that RCCL allows this wine to be brought on board to your stateroom.
wrp96 Posted April 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Does this liquor get confiscated on RCCL and given back at the end of the cruise? I heard that RCCL allows this wine to be brought on board to your stateroom. RCCL does not allow any liquor to be brought onboard, even wine. RCCL has a second security screening after the duty free store. And yes they do confiscate if they see it (sometimes they will return it at the end of the cruise, sometimes they don't). Some people are able to get their stuff past, other aren't.
