Duty free at Pan-American Pier

I will be leaving from the Pan-American Pier and know that there is a duty free there. Do you need to check in and have your Cruise card before you can purchase duty free? I don't want to wait in a line for liquor only to find out I need to come back. Any info would be appreciated.

Does this liquor get confiscated on RCCL and given back at the end of the cruise? I heard that RCCL allows this wine to be brought on board to your stateroom.

RCCL does not allow any liquor to be brought onboard, even wine. RCCL has a second security screening after the duty free store. And yes they do confiscate if they see it (sometimes they will return it at the end of the cruise, sometimes they don't). Some people are able to get their stuff past, other aren't.
