Best transportation from Port C to Cocoa Beach??

One of our ports on our Fall Bahamas cruise is Port Canaveral so we will be docked there for a day. We're thinking about just relaxing on Cocoa Beach. I've seen lots of info on going to & from the airport, hotels, etc but, does anybody know the best way to get to & from Cocoa Beach for a day trip from the dock? (local bus? shuttle?). Thanks so much---these boards are great!

Look at the thread "I work in Port Canaveral" . There are references there to a couple of posts you can search for with info. Cocoa Beach Shuttles, among others, does have shuttle service you can request. Contact information should be in that thread. You would have to contact Ron Jons Resort regarding day passes to their facilities. Ron Jons is near, but not on the barge canal, and about 1/4 mile walk to the ocean beach. Other hotels along the beach are farther south from the cruise terminal. Cocoa Beach Pier with rentals and showers and food is about 5 miles (10-15 minutes) from the cruise terminal. But the shuttle should be able to take you where you want to go.

What cruise line will you be on? We will be on the Carnival Pride in Septemeber and Carnival offers a round trip shuttle to Ron Jon's Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach for $16 per person. The shuttle picks up every hour.
