Sitka - Bicycle or Rent Car

Is it best to bicycle for the day or rent a car to tour? We of course want to head to Sitka National Historic Park for starters. With bicycles is it all hectic street riding or are there pleasant bike paths in Sitka? Is it worth a trip to Whale Park? Thanks

I would do neither. Sitka is very walkable. They also have a bus that doesn't cost much. It is very easy to walk to the totem park and the paths are nice and flat. You could go through the park, exit on the far side, and walk a short way to the raptor center also. We walked everywhere and had a great time!
