I'm planning a cruise in May from Rome to Barcelona, stopping in Livorna, Portafino, Bonifacio, Corsica, Tunisa and Spain. Does anyone know good beaches for swimming and/or snorkling in any of these ports?

Yes to Mallorca (surely the other Balearics too)and fabulously, yes to Corsica. Probably Sardinia.

Did not investigate Malaga further.

Qualified yes to Alicante--but the further out from the city towards the north, the better.

Toulon--there are the 4 manmade beaches at Le Mourillon separated by rock jetties that have possibilities (rocks= sea critters) & we did see some folks snorkeling. Everyone seemed to be ferrying over to Corsica.

Have seen snorkelers at Capri & Sorrento, Malta. And of course the isles where the Concordia capsized--Giglio & the others--are a marine preserve that's famous for snorkeling.
