Taxi to Beach?

H and I would like to go to the beach for this port, but don't want to pay to do the excursion through Carnival. Can you just get off in port and grab a taxi? If so, how much does it run? TIA!

Taxi from the port to the beach runs about $5 per person. Lots of taxi's available near the port. Good luck!:)

We were in GC last week - took a taxi to Royal Palms for $4US each.

There are people just by the shops at port with signs offering trip and taxi rides.

We did this last year, and I think we're going to do it again this year. 10 minute taxi ride. There will be plenty of taxis around Royal Palms to take you back to the dock as well.
