Cost of Arcadia Med excursions

Hi we are thinking of booking our first cruise on the Arcadia July 18th round the med. I was just wondered if any abody knew how much the trips ashore cost if booked on ship.

Generally £20 - £35 for half day trips and up to £70 for full day trips per person, depending where you go and what activities/ lunch involved. You can visit places independently using public transport - see other threads. Eg we are going to Rome by train from Civitavecchia and you can walk to Barcelona or use shuttle buses or taxis.

My advice is do your research first and decide what you want to see before booking excursions.

Very very expensive! We booked 3 tours and it was over £400 for us as a couple. And now with the euro nearly the same as the pound no doubt they will be even more expensive this year.. (i bought of £150 worth of euros and got 155e back yesterday)

 

Rome £95pp - a 11hr day with a 3 course lunch and entrance to the Vatican etc and many top tourists attrcations with queue jumping the long queues of tourists in the hot hot sun...well worth it if you have never been to Rome and don't know when you will return,

 

Florence and Pisa £75pp Saw highlights of Florence , had a 3 course lunch in the city then on to Pisa to see the famous leaning tower

 

Monte Carlo from Cannes This was cancelled on the day due to 'bumpy seas' when tenders could not be lowered, very upsetting as a main reason we were going for personal reasons.... got trip cost refunded the next day.. (but no compensation for missed port)

 

 

We were lucky that the other ports were able to be done diy - Barcelona free shuttle bus to the bottom of La Ramblas - we then took a HOHO bus (hop on hop off sight seeing tour)
