Exchanging US dollars for Pounds and Euros...

Does anyone know if you are able to exhange US dollars and/or travelers checks for Euros and Pounds at the purser's desk?

You are able to exchange US dollars for Pounds/Euros, however, the exchange rate is not very good and the transaction fee is quite high.

You will get a better rate from just using a ATM.

Go visit the ports of call board on CC.

 

Click on Europe and then pick the subsection of Europe you are going to visit.

 

There you can search and find many threads that will ultimately tell you that the best place to get euros and pounds is froim the local ATMs.

 

The last place you want to exchange money is at the pursers desk.
