Monarch - Lots of Questions

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on Friday and have some questions that hopefully you all can answer.

#1 - Is there a Capts. Cocktail - if so where do you sign up?

#2 - Is there a Ship Tour?

#3 - Are there hairdryer's in the rooms? We are in OV and SO.

#4 - What about an iron - can we request one or bring one on?

#5 - Does anyone have a recent Cruise Compass for the 3 night?

#6 - Confirming Formal Night is Night #2

Anything else you can recommend or think of? We have 2 newbie cruisers.

I'm not sure, but the "Capt's reception" may be only on 7 nighters or longer---they may not have "free" drinks anymore.

No ship's tour.

Hairdryers are in the vanity drawer, but they aren't strong enough for my long hair--I bring my own.

No irons--they want you to use their pressing services. Some will argue it's a "fire" hazard, yet they allow curling irons, straight irons, flat irons, electric curlers.....don't bring the iron, or you'll incur the wrath of everyone.

Formal night is always night 2. (at least, the 1st formal night is!!!)

Start with post #1392 to find some compasses. There might be others on that thread as well. I remember finding the 3 day compasses - but can't seem to remember where I found them.
