Best Beach for the Day

Hi,

 

We will be stopping in the Domincan Republic next Feb 2010 on EOS. We've never been there and want to do a safe, clean, fun beach for the day.

 

Any recommendations or excursions you all can suggest???

Could you be more specific as to where you'll be ...NCL and MSC tender in Samana. But I think RCCL is at another port.:confused:

As per reviews fom past visitors the best all around beach experience in Samana is Cayo Levantado island.....

just got back from samana on granduer of the seas. Rcl tenders in samana, had a great day at playa rincon, and some in the group went fishing the rest went snorkeling and to the beach. One of the world most beatiful beaches safe and clean and secluded.Casadoradodr.com:cool:

Yes, Cayo Levantado is very family oriented, only a 10 minute boat ride from the ship. There are sea lions, parrots and monkeys which you may take your picture with. Food is very good as well.

My votes for Playa Rincon. Arranged a group through our roll call. Definitely less crowded and wonderful location to spend a day.

How much do the pictures run with the animals??? Is the beach really pretty? I think this is where we are going to go for the day.

Check out the pictures for Playa Rincon in my signature. Beautiful beach and a way better deal for a group of 10 than Cayo Leventado (which is a nice beach too). Get in touch with Catheine of Casa Dorado. You won't be sorry.
