Vancouver, liquor store near HI downtown

This is probably a questions for Putterdude! Is there a liquor store near the Holiday Inn on Howe Street? Thanks. :)

The closest to your hotel would be at Thurlow and Alberni. Be prepared for sticker shock, probably our prices are close to double what you are used to paying at home. I would think seriously of bringing your duty free allowance of 1.14 lt of spirits or 1.5 lt of wine pp with me....that at least would keep me going until Ketchikan. By the way, I have had great success with the RumRunner products.;)

There is also a government store at Davie and Bute and a private liquor store two blocks away on Granville between Davie and Drake.

 

There is a joke in Canada that if you have a beer gut and drink Labatts you have Labatts Lard and if you drink Molson's you have Molson Muscles - I have the latter - sorry PD if I drank the brand that your hotel didn't sell in the old days.
