kaneeta Posted April 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2009 I was planning on walking because it should only take about half an hour and I just have a carry on, but my sister was saying no way, bus stations are in bad parts of town. Since it's right next to a university I'm guessing the walk will be fine at 8-9 am. What do you Montreal experts say?
Ephraim Posted April 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Pretty safe, I personally would walk down Berri until de la Commune. Rather than down de Maisonneuve and down on St. Lawrence (St-Laurent). Here are Google Map's directions, they are exactly what I would suggest, personally. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=505+Boulevard+De+Maisonneuve+Est,+Montreal,+QC&daddr=Rue+Quai-King-Edward,+Montreal,+QC&hl=en&geocode=&mra=mr&mrcr=0&dirflg=w&sll=45.510265,-73.555885&sspn=0.01627,0.032916&ie=UTF8&z=
Spender Nui Posted May 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2009 As someone from the USA who has visited montreal about a dozen times I'd say the route is viable and as safe as most places.
