As far as location goes, those three are practically next door to each other. If the pools at the Loews are open, no contest go with the Loews. mnsawyer Posted May 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Probably isn't a misprint on the cheeseburger at Lowe's. SB is very expensive and you'll need to do some research especially with a family. At any of the hotels you have listed, Lincoln Road is closeby. Plenty of shopping and restaurants including McD's and Burger King. Know people don't want to go there on vacation but again, SB is expensive especially with a family. There is a Walgreen's on Lincoln Road that sells everything including food. If your hotel doesn't have a refrig, buy a strofoam cooler and purchase sodas, water, snacks, etc. We stayed at the Richmond (close by your hotels) and we stocked up the fridge which was a big help. Another good spot that is reasonable is Jerry's Deli. A bit of a walk from Lincoln Road but relatively good food. We ate there twice during our stay on SB a few years ago. Good luck! As mnsawyer stated, South Beach is very expensive but there are cheaper places. Food at the South Seas would be cheapest and the room rate includes a really good HUGE breakfast. We always bring a cooler and keep drinks and snacks in the cooler. You can walk down to Walgreens or CVS and buy a loaf of bread, lunchmeat and chips. We've done it before for the simple reason it gets tiring eating a huge lunch every day. One other warning about South Beach, everywhere and I mean everywhere adds 18% gratuity to the bill so don't double tip. Gathina Posted May 9, 2009 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Lowes all the way. Is a few miinor conveniences like maybe having to walk past an open wall or somebody using a jackhammer a big deal? Most people will never afford lowes when it's not under construction, many celeberties stay there as well. It's a no brainer to me! :) Thanks- south seas charges an extra 140+ for the two kids. thats 400.00 + for two nights. so south seas is out- still looking in to Lowes. keep those suggestions coming- thanks-
