Can you prepay grats online?

First, please lets not get into a debate over gratuities. I just want to know if I can pre-pay my tips online or do I have to call my TA to get that done?

You can if you book directly through Carnival, you can't if you used a TA.

 

The procedure online is to go to My Cruise (sign in), then on the left hand side there is a section called Manage Bookings, click on that and then click on Modify Booking underneath it. You will then get a page that lists all your details, go to Preferences and select edit by dining preference.

I tried to go to "manage booking" and it did let me edit to pre-pay the gratuities and then submit - but no where to pay them. Does this just mean to go ahead and put the $10/day pp hold on your S&S card?

Call your PVP or TA and have them do it for you. They can just put it on your CC and you will be good to go.

 

I prepay our tips, one less thing on the S&S card.

Go back to "Manage Bookings" and click on "Make Payment" to clear the charge off your account.
