Hello , bonjour from Montreal !

The airport web site ( Aéroports de Montreal)where you can find info is : http://www.admtl.com/passager/acces_et_stationnement/home.aspx

There is a shuttle to downtown ($15.00 one way; $25.00 return and rates for seniors) , there are also fixed rates towards downtown ;for taxis($38) and limos ($49.50). The web site mentions : "L’Aérobus stops at the Montréal Central Bus Station located at 505 de Maisonneuve Blvd. E. A minibus service at no additional charge is also available from the Montréal Central Bus Station to several major downtown hotels (reservation and information: 514-631-1856)."

Since you are 4 people, I would limo direct to the hotel.

Across the street from your hotel is Place Ville Marie with a nice underground shopping center. ( Montreal has an underground city)

From your hotel to the port it is a very short ride and a taxi ( there are some right at your hotel) is the best way . Port is in Old Montreal , a beautiful area where you might enjoy spending some time walking around ( without luggage !).

For some info on : Old Montréal ;http://www.vieux.montreal.qc.ca/eng/accueila.htm and on Montréal underground city : http://www.aviewoncities.com/montreal/reso.htm

welcome to my beautiful city and have a wonderful cruise !

Taxis and "Limos" are fixed price from the airport to downtown Montreal. These aren't the regular Limosines, stretched longer than any car should be, This is more luxurious than a taxi. And that rate applies ONLY from the airport to downtown Montreal. The price is government regulated (as is the zone).

Here are the taxi rates for Montreal....

So $3.30 when you get into the taxi, $1.60 per km and $0.60 per minute of waiting.

$38.00 for anywhere in the downtown zone.

Almost all taxis in Montreal are sedans, which might be a tight fit.
