Jeeps in Freeport

has anyone here done this??

Will be going on first cruise and this excursion looked like fun. I saw how much it cost just to get on a beach and with this I get to go to the beach, drive on the wrong side of the road and see some Nature and take a tour.

I want to book asap, but my second choice would be the bike tour or to rent a bike, I'm not too keen on taking cabs in foreign countries.

Also I think I would be fine with Lighthouse beach, as I grew up going to Grand Isle and Biolixi and it doesn't get much worse than that.

Oh I didn't mean that, not afraid of car crashing, I just don't trust Cab drivers. From experiences stateside they are on my third ring of hell, just above Meter Maids and tow truck driver and just below pawn shop owners.

I don't like to deal with them. I would rather rent a bike or a car and do my own thing.

I don't have a problem taking a shuttle, but a cabbie is going to get money to bring you to certain places, not the best places.

Really though this is not my point of this thread.

I just wanted to know if anyone has done this excursion and what was their thought of it??

Have not done the jeep excursion... the threads that have been on here have all be positive. One thing I did notice is the comment about price to get on the beach... If you take a taxi (shared van which is around 7-9 people and you most likely will have little to no interaction with driver other than handing over $5) to the Our Lucaya area you can wander the shops/bar/food/etc and then walk over to the beach for free. If you want to use the pools/restrooms you will need to purchase a day pass but the beach is free and on the jeep tour your beach will have no pool/restroom. Just a comment.
