aintnostoppingmenow Posted May 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Is coral breeze's excursion better than carnival's barrister beach break. I am concerned that carnival's only 4 hours, 9:15 to 1:15. I would like the option of staying longer if I want.
du4mch Posted May 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2009 We've been on carnivals excursion to bannister island twice! The first time was so much better than the second time. We could hardly believe it was the same excursion! The first time we went; the boat was alot less crowded, the snorkeling was great, the beach was gorgeous and we had it to our selves. We only were on the beach for about 90-120 minutes, but all and all it was worth the $$. The second time we took this excursion thru carnival; the boat was packed with people, they wouldn't allow you to actually snorkel over the reef, but actually just kind of around it in barren areas, our time on the beach was cut down to about an hour that felt more like 20 minutes! Needless to say, we were very dissappointed and will try coral breezes next time we visit bannister island & turneffe atoll
Will in sunny FL Posted May 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2009 The trip with Coral Breeze will include snorkeling at Coral Gardens, & snorkeling with the Rays at the next stop & a local lunch of your choosing on Caye Caulker. Our group of six snorkeled with Coral Breeze last week arriving on the legend. Check out their web site for the details. A Carnival snorkeling trip can't compare ! Good luck. Is it just a sandbar, or is there coral there?
