San Pedro or Long Beach?

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question, when the RCI website states they are departing from Los Angelas, is that the Port of San Pedro, or Long Beach? We're just trying to figure out a hotel for the night prior, and figured if we're leaving from Long Beach, we'll stay on the Queen Mary. Thanks in advance!

Royal Caribbean (and Princess) leave out of the World Cruise Center in San Pedro. Peirs 92-93. Carnival, cruises out of Long Beach. The best news is that both facilities are very close to one another. Therefore it is possible to stay at the Queen Mary and cruise out of San Pedro. Both terminals are just a shor cab ride away.

If you still wish to stay in San Pedro, the Doubletree has an excellent sail and stay package.

:) The Queen Mary is a lot of fun to spend the night on prior to a cruise. It's kind of fun, seeing what a ship used to look like, a lot of the fixtures are still in the cabins even though they don't work.

She is also a great ship just to explore, and enjoy lunch before heading off for whichever line that you are sailing on.

The last time we stayed on her was a Saturday night, after meeting up with people cruising the next day. We went to Sunday Brunch before driving home, it is always lovely. Sometimes they have some great rates, too!
