Euro info, Not sure how much cash or use cc

It seem's that the Euro is very high & our dollar is very low. Can anyone tell me if taxis take only Euro? Or can I use my debit/credit card? I am leaving in 8 day's. When I wen to the exchange I wanted to exchange $500. and they were going to give me $300.00 !!!

$500 USD is worth $367 Euros, so wherever you went was charging an extremely high mark-up. Try going to a major bank, especially if you have accounts with that bank, and they will likely give you a much better rate.

 

Another option is to use a debit card in Europe at a cash station to withdrawal money - usually you receive a good exchange rate and little to no fees.

 

Some taxis do take credit card, but I do not know how widespread this is.
