Quad Occupancy (Superior Inside Stateroom-II) on the Sun

My girlfriends and I (4 of us in our 20s) just booked a cruise to Alaska at the end of July on the Norwegian Sun.

We're currently in 9133 on the Fjord Deck. I've seen pictures of some of the II staterooms, and know they're fairly large, but I'm curious about how the sofa bed works for the 3rd and 4th person. Does it fold out or pull out? What size bed does it end up being (Double, Queen, Smaller)? We know it will be tight for us, but nothing that we haven't done before.

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

I think you should be fine with a pull out sofa with 4 people, although the bed does only make up into about a double. Not really large, but shouldn't bother you much if you are all friends. I wouldn't suggest 4 50 year olds sharing a room, but bunk up and have a blast. The Sun has spacious staterooms, except for the balcony rooms in the BE and BD categories. Those rooms are much smaller -- but in a few of them, the balcony is much larger.
