mrsd1 Posted May 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2009 My husband and I have an inside J cabin on the Navigation deck of the Westerdam for our June trip to Alaska. We booked with a TA. We would like to upgrade if possible. Our situation with our TA is a little unusual, so I want to have some info before talking to him. How can we find out what is available before we ask our TA to check it out for us?
JJ2sail Posted May 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2009 I would just call HAL and ask how many cabins are available in the category you want. Also did you book a guarantee? If so ask them what the chances of being upgraded for free are? Lots of people have reported being upgraded from insides to ocean views, we booked an oceanview guarantee and got a balcony on our little one night cruise on Westerdam. My friend last year on the 7 day, booked an inside and got assigned an ocean view.
mrsd1 Posted May 16, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted May 16, 2009 Thanks for your reply, Jen. We booked our inside cabin through our travel agent and were immediately given our room number. I'm not sure how the guarantees and all that works.
