CMM Posted May 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Planning on a Beach day and thought maybe a jet ski ride might be fun. When looking into this, I see posters mentioning banana boat rides. What are they? Would a teen like that? Where would they offer this close to a nice beach area? Maybe someone has a better suggestion other than jet skis, the stingrays give me the creeps. If anyone had photos to share I would appreciate it.
bruce-r Posted May 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Looks like this: It is pulled behind a boat. Whether your teens will enjoy it, only you can be the judge of that, but I'd suspect they would.
VegasBaby8 Posted May 15, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2009 We rode on a Banana boat last year in Cozumel and my (17) year old boys, loved it. They made is flip several times from rocking it but it was still very fun. Debbie
jaredcoreymama Posted May 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Where can we do this in GC? It looks great!
CMM Posted May 16, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted May 16, 2009 Thanks for your responses. I didn't think it was pulled, I thought it was driven. So it is more like two banana shaped rafts that you sit on, pulled by a boat? I also wouldn't have thought you would flip off. Wonder if our family of four would have our own trip? So anyone know if there is a nice beach area that rents these?
Leadft Posted May 16, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2009 It is really fun, but the guys driving the boat always change direction quickly to purposefully flip you off the thing. I got a bruised kidney when we were flung off and the girl in front of me accidentally kicked me really hard. I still would do it again though!
