We will arrive in San Juan late Sat. night, June 13 and board ship late afternoon on the 14th.

What should we definitely see in San Juan in about a half day's time. Thats all the time we will have there because we leave for the airport when the cruise returns.

There is a lot to see, and you can see a lot in a short time. Start early Sunday am and you can be done by 2pm.

Do a google search for "Old San Juan Walking Tour" and you should find some help.

My favorite things:

Lots of the statues- Rogativa, Raices, Dona Fela, Cat/Giraffe

The Old San Juan City Gate

The Cristo Chapel

the Forts (San Cristobal is my favorite)

The Museum of the Americas

Casa Blanca Gardens

and free rum drinks at the PR Tourism Office!

RFG has a great list. I would add a stroll along Paseo de la Princesa, where there is a great outdoor art display. Sunday attracts many kite-flyers to the large grassy field in front of El Morro: great picture opportunity. I would also wander down Calle Fortalezza and hit either La Bombanera or Cafe Mallorca for a snack (Cafe con leche and whatever).

I agree with janabm81, try to see both of the forts. It takes about an hour to hour and a half to get thru each one. The cost to see both is only $5! I would also take a little time to wander around Old San Juan. It is very interesting and very safe!
