Downtown to Tacoma Museum of Glass

My sister and I are spending a couple of days (Saturday/Sunday) in Seattle post-cruise (August) - most likely in the downtown area since we aren't renting a car.

 

Is it at all feasible to consider trying to make a trip to the Museum of Glass without our own transportation? Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Available by bus from Second Ave. in downtown Seattle. Get off at the UW Tacoma stop and walk over the Bridge of Glass to the MoG. About an hour door to door.
