Cab bt the Hour (east side)

Recommended Posts

We have been to the Turtle farm. Hell, Stingray City & 7 Mile Beach,

By looking at a map of Grand Cayman they all seem fairly close and on the west side of the island.

I was wondering what the other half ( east) side of the island has to offer,

Has any one explored.

I was thinking of taking a cab and checking it out.

Does anyone know how much a cab by the hour might be?

One hour of cab would probably be close to the price of a rental car. It is about US$65 for a ride from the airport to the resorts in East End, and that typically takes about 45 to 50 minutes depending upon traffic.

You can rent a jeep or car for around 55 bucks a day and that includes the driving permitt. If you turn left out of the cruise terminal and walk about 1/2 miles to the blue building Cayman Auto rentals (you can book online!) is located there. We have used them several times and they have always been wonderful.

We rent a van and drive to Rum Point. About 40 minutes one way. Not a whole lot to see on the east end except gorgeous sea vistas..........sigh. At Rum Point we relax, swim, snorkel and watch for baracudas and stingrays.
