Lunenberg and Peggy's Cove

Is it possible to do both in the same day? What amount of time would we be looking at? Thanks.

Yes you can do both the same day. Some tours do this along with Mahone Bay. Others may know timing better but I would say you might need 6 hours minimum.

:)We are renting a car in Halifax and was wondering the very same thing..We were thinking instead of heading to Lunenborg and then back to Halifax to turn in the car early and enjoy the sights around the port like the Citadel..I see Peggys Cove is out of the way and I cant see making that roundtrip to see the lighthouse and then have no time left for Halifa,,,what do you think??

:)I think I will drop Peggys Cove from our plans and just do Lunenburg and Mahones Bay then back to Halifax for a quick look around..I do ports on my own for that very reason "avoiding buses from the cruise ship"..quote=Dot & Di;19593013]the first poster is correct that these places can be done in 6 hours and are well worth the drive, :) But try to saty away from the tourisrt traps that are around plan and spend your time in Lunenburg and mahones bay longer than peggys cove you'll understand when you see all the buses from the cruise ship parked there. have fun and take care

but of the 2 it would be Lunenberg hands down. Peggy's is hard to get in and out of and looking for parking will be your biggest time taker upper...Lunenberg is just a not to miss place to go.........the people,the food and the sites just amazing. IMHO Capecoddah

:)thanks....we will rent the car as early as possible head to Lunenberg and return to possibly see some of Halifax too..
