barbados Posted December 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2004 We are going to be renting a Jeep for our day of fun in Barbados. Does anyone have any recommendations or nightmares to share? Thanks. We have had good reports about Drive-A-Matic. Both our houseguests and CC visitors have had good luck with them. They have been around for years and I believe that they now have an office at the cruise dock. A jeep will run about US$100/day. Please find their website HERE. Be sure and reserve as vehicles go fast during the winter months on the island. Again, have a wonderful time! :)

nitnyleo Posted December 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2004 I know I'm being picky, but the "jeeps" offered by Drive-A-Matic are not real Jeeps®. I own a Jeep® Wrangler® and there ain't nothing like it...it's a Jeep® thing. It's like going to the store for Coca~Cola (or, Pepsi) and having to buy Finast Cola or Ralph's Cola. I'm thinking of renting a Moke (despite the warnings not to).
Sunniebgi Posted December 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2004 actually according to their guide.. they do have jeeps.. http://www.carhire.tv/fleet.php And I'm pretty sure I've seen hired jeeps with drive a matic stickers on them.. Mokes are not all that bad.. just be careful.. don't leave anything in it when your out siteseeing.. and try to stay dry if it rains. and as they say.. keep your arms and legs inside the vehical at all times. Enjoy!!
