Why the short stay in Nassau & San Juan?

Hi - planning to book my first cruise (2nd ever) on Carnival.

Looking @ Eastern Carribean in mid Aug.

I looked @ a couple of itineraries & noticed that the stays in Nassau & San Juan are very short.

Having been to both on my prior early 21st century cruise with RCL, I can't imagine getting a lot done in such a short stay there. Plus I am sure some 'evening' excursion can't be accomplished cause the departurea are usually mid afternoon.

Can u all please provides insights. Thanks. :)

Hi - the 7 days in mid Aug.on Glory & Liberty out of PC & Mia respectively.

Thanks.

Just did the Glory cruise on May 2nd. The reason the stop is so short in Nassau is the amount of miles to cover the make St. Thomas and St. Maarten long port days.....

That is a great cruise with a great staff......My friends and I had a wonderful time on her......

Let me look at the Liberty itin and I'll be back....

I see the Liberty is the HMC then St Toms, SJ and the Grand Turk....Again it is just sailing time. Was on the Liberty in 07 and another great ship. This is great itin. Did HCM and Grand Turk on a 9 night B2B on the Destiny last fall...

SJ is a cool port but, HMC and Grand Turk along with St Toms is the bomb.....

In SJ do an early tour and maybe hit old SJ for a short time.....

This is a "GREAT" itin......
