Drop Off Luggage Early Prior to Checking In?

We are sailing out of Barcelona next weekend. We would like to drop our luggage at the port early (9AM) on day we set sail. Spend the day sightseeing Barcelona, then check-in the ship at 5PM, 2 hours before the ship sails. Will the cruise lines take our luggage at 9AM in the morning?

I'm thinking that 9:00 will be too early to drop off your bags. They will be just finishing up the unloading and you certainly don't want your bags mixed up with people leaving.

 

Someone should be able to tell you the earliest....Personally I wouldn't try before 11:00.

we are also sailing out of Barcelona in August...we will be there one night pre-cruise...although the ship doesn't sail until 7pm, what is the recommended time to board? Is there a specific time that is not too busy (no line ups)?
