Klaipeda-transportation to town from ship

can anyone tell me if Princess has a shuttle to town, or if you can hire a cab at the port to take you to town. I want to do Klaipeda on our own, rather than the ship's tour and don't know how the ins and outs.

Taxis in Klaipeda are not very reliable: they charge usually higher rates for foreign tourists, drivers do not speak English and cars are worn out. However, the port is not far away from the center. it will take you ca. 800 meters/10 minutes to walk from the ship to central Theatre square in the old town of Klaipeda.
