kimba16001 Posted May 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I can only pay for one excursion in July and the other in early August for our late August criuse. The excursions are a beach day pass for atlantis in nassua and the other is dolphin encounter in Freeport. Which one fills up the fastest and should I be concerned that they will be sold out by August? Thanks

Atlantis pass should not be difficult to get.

rjm1cc Posted May 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2009 Sounds like you have a budget and know how to stick too it. Too bad most of the rest of us don't. Paying in advance is the way to go. Good luck
scubagirrl Posted May 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2009 o.k. thanks kimba.. if you are on a budget, you may want to rethink the Atlantis beach day. There is a public beach just 50 yards to the east.. a $5 taxi ride will get you there. No need to use the roped off Atlantis beach unless you just HAVE TO .. go to Atlantis. If you use the public beach, you can stop by atlantis and see the "free" parts of it. The casino, lobbies, shopping, and even a part of the aquariums are free.. open to the public.. as is the marina village. Paying to use the beach is expensive and really not worth the $$$. kimba16001 Posted June 1, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Well, I just want to have the two major excursion paid for b4 we go. I am on a budget just because our cruise with passports for 4 and balacony will be about $4,000 without tips, excursions, and spending money. I kinda want to keep the beach day because my kids will really like the marine exhibits, the dig, and all the other exhibits. They are little boys and they really get into that kind of stuff! The nearby hotels and stuff will be closed on Thursday September 3rd. right? The Blue lagoon sounded kinda cool, but I think it will be closed. Seadiva2 Posted June 4, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2009 Kimba16001. Your family will really love your first cruise. Once you cruise you will become addicted. Your boys will LOVE Atlantis. There is so much to do there. The water slides are GREAT! No jewelry is allowed on the slides so don't bring any with you. There are locker rentals and they come in handy. Also, you must have a credit card as they operate on a cashless system and don't accept cash on the beach or aqua park. Have a wonderful time on your first cruise. I am sure before you get off you will be placing a future deposit for a future cruise! This is the best way to travel. Also, the ship has so many activities for your kids you will probably never see them. I can see their smiles now!
kimba16001 Posted June 5, 2009 Author #8 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Seadiva2, Thanks for the nice comments. My family is ready. It has been a long time since we have gone on vacation together. Can you tell me about the atlantis resort. Like what is the dig or what other kind of exhibits there are for my 4 and 2 year old?
