Upgrade question...help!!

I paid 519 a person months ago for a 5 day to Canada (23 days away) I now see that the cheapest balcony is 539! I mean its just my boyfriend and I and for 40 more dollars...to have a balcony? I didn't get an early saver rate though so I wasn't sure how that worked. A few months ago I was able to upgrade to a better deck and pay the difference online but it won't let me upgrade that way now (too close to sailing date??) So does anyone know how that would work? Is it just a matter of calling up Carnival and asking them to upgrade me to that balcony price and let me pay the difference? If anyone can help clear that up for me I'd appreciate it :-)

Good luck. I think the reason they wouldnt let me upgrade after final payment (not early saver then) was because the taxes had changed.

It shouldnt be a issue, call and ask. Sometimes you get someone who says no, call back and ask again?
