cruzincurt Posted June 4, 2009 #27 Share Posted June 4, 2009 I play all the hardways and hi/lo with field bet. Go home broke every night. What am I doing wrong? Come on square pair. LOL Where's your horn bet and big 6? You could go broke even faster.:)

Yo Eleven Posted June 4, 2009 Author #29 Share Posted June 4, 2009 Where's your horn bet and big 6? You could go broke even faster.:) Wow Big 6 / Big 8. I gave up advising folks I see on the table betting that stupid wager to never make that bet again. More times than not they give me a stupid look as if they know what they are doing and proceed to make those bets again. Instead of worrying about them losing their money and educating them to make place bets instead I look at it as entertainment and laugh at them. Besides, the casino needs idiots like them to keep them in business, right? :D
cutie222 Posted June 4, 2009 #30 Share Posted June 4, 2009 :mad:My husband and I love to play craps, but we've discovered that on several cruises now the craps table is gone. (Azamara, Legend of the Seas) Apparently the Europeans don't play dice, and they've also removed the tables on the Asian cruises. It is my understanding that Oceania doesn't have them either. Bummer. That's one of the most fun things about our cruises as we all know that nothing is more exciting than a hot table.

When you say several are you talking about most of the ones listed in your signature? This is nothing new. Craps tables do vanish from time to time, especially if they are not profitable because of the lack of players. They will move the tables out to make room for more popular games such as blackjack. You can fit probably six blackjack tables in the area that the craps table takes up. Do the math. Six busy blackjack tables or one craps table that only 6 people play the entire cruise? Which is the better buy?
britron Posted June 4, 2009 #32 Share Posted June 4, 2009 Anyone else noticed the disturbing trend of the ships removing the crap's table to install an all electric Texas Hold em or Craps table.

Not yet, but booooo. A rowdy craps table make a casino. That mindless ding ding of the slots needs to be balanced somehow.
Yo Eleven Posted June 4, 2009 Author #34 Share Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) Anyone else noticed the disturbing trend of the ships removing the crap's table to install an all electric Texas Hold em or Craps table. This is news to me (regarding the craps electronic table). I have seen Texas Hold em. But a craps electronic table would royally suck big time. Rare dna1990 Posted June 4, 2009 #36 Share Posted June 4, 2009 Nah, they can keep their crap(s) toy. I am at the table to handle the chips, watch other players, interact with dealers. The hustle and the bustle. I wont have any part of this video game silliness.

The hustle and the bustle. I wont have any part of this video game silliness. Next week they won't even have cruises anymore. You can purchase a machine where you sit inside and the video inside will simulate the cruise. Heck, you can go on any excursion you want to as well. All from the comfort of your own home. :D

Yo Eleven Posted June 5, 2009 Author #41 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Well after waiting for awhile and reading accounts of what really happened at that AC casino with that woman's 154 no seven roll I finally am confident I now have the real story. I good friend of mine who lives in NJ and goes to AC a lot has a buddy that was at that casino when this all happened. He was a spectator and according to him the lady bought in for a hundred bucks. The people playing at the time were mostly beginners who really didn't know much about the game including the shooter. Although the woman rolled a no seven 154 times it wasn't like she was hitting the points often. There were times where the roll had no payouts. She ended up being paid 800 dollars in chips when it was all done. However, other players did better. It appeared the house paid out a combined total amount of 35K to the players at the table. I don't have to tell you how excited everyone was. Well, that's the story and I'm sticking to it. I thought I would share what I heard. I do think the source is very reliable in my opinion. luvtravel2 Posted June 5, 2009 #42 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Present! I'm new to the game but LOVE it. Still haven't figured out what everything means in the middle... learned C & E that last time I played. Chicken and Eggs. :)

cruzincurt Posted June 5, 2009 #44 Share Posted June 5, 2009 What do you guys think of this? I had 6 - $5 match play coupons. So at the Roulette table, I bet a $5 chip & coupon on black and $5 chip on red. Three possible outcomes: Double my $5, break even, or lose $10 if 0 or 00 comes up. I won some times, broke even others, never lost to green. The Roulette dealer told me no one ever did that play before.:)

God I wish I was at that table, I'd have left with 10's of thousands!!!! Your account might be right, but I wonder about the lack of experanced players, always seems to be a few at every table I have played. but hell who knows. BTW I play only craps, blackjack, poker. and when the better half makes me 3 card poker and slots. as to a eailer posting, when i was on the ncl spirit in april 09, they wouldn't take hop bets. and they only allowed 2 times odds. but, like was al so posted, the have the ONLY game around. My best roll was 12 points, and held the dice for 45 minutes...

Not ALL of them were beginners though, just most of them I guess. Gosh that sucks if there are no hop bets allowed anymore on RCCL. I really would like to play it. Thanks for writing and welcome to the new section! :D
SwimwearClothing Posted June 8, 2009 #48 Share Posted June 8, 2009 I think the rating issue is that what are the chances you'll be back on a cruise anytime soon? I've seen them comp some drinks to the high rollers. On our past Christmas cruise the dealers started calling me "Silent Night" since I play pretty seriously and don't hoot and holler, even after rolling for 30 minutes. The evolution of the Cruise Casino is taking form. They are becoming more and more savvy as to how to "schmooze you" into gambling more (ie. comp drinks, etc). But you're right... you're a captive audience who is all paid up. They can't really extend your stay or comp you a room. Perhaps a credit at the gift shop??? AndyTheK Posted June 11, 2009 #49 Share Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Hi all. Just found this thread. I love craps - pass and come with odds "off and on" every roll. BUT you won't find me at the table much. DW loves to play blackjack and really enjoys me playing alongside her, the banter between us being a large part of the fun. SO, to keep the cabin noise level down a whole lot of decibels, I'm there with her. cruzincurt Posted June 11, 2009 #50 Share Posted June 11, 2009 Andy, you have to get your DW to play craps. My DW likes Let it Ride but when she's down on her bankroll for the night, she comes over to the craps table beside me and gets some of her bankroll back.
