MrCo9 Posted October 21, 2011 #726 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Rolled 4 individual points at the Hilton the other day, made the 9 twice and I was on the 6 for the second time when the dreaded 7 rolled. I won $125 on that "Sucker bet" and the dealers made $25 on it. I rolled for about 15 minutes with 2 other players on the table. Table was VERY bouncy and 5 or 6 times I had a die leave the table. I'd just ask for a specific die out of te bowl and kept on rolling. I started with $34 in when I was shooting and had $350 in profit when my roll was over, dealers made $100-150 on line, place and Fire Bet. Next two rollers had lousy rolls. But I was hoping for good things as 1 of them was a first time roller, so I bet BIG on her $255 spread between the 5, 6 and 8 and $35 in the field. After establishing the point she rolled 9 and then 7. I went $160 across including on the next shooter, he rolled 3 8s, I took mine to $42, then $60 and made my 6 $60 and the next roll was a 7. Had a good time, but lost $110. That night at work a shooter rolled 5 different points and was on the 6th when the 7 rolled. He held the dice for 40 minutes and made less than $200 as all we could get him to bet was $10 on the Pass Line with $10 odds. Only 1 person was on the Fire Bet for $1. Dread Pirate Roberts Posted October 22, 2011 #727 Share Posted October 22, 2011 HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Dread Pirate Roberts: I have never seen a Fire Bet on a cruise ship. I never make this bet because it is considered a sucker bet. You will lose it many more times than you would win. still,of all the sucker bets one can make, this one is kind of fun for $1. Grandpaul Posted November 9, 2011 #730 Share Posted November 9, 2011 Being a craps player I have a bit of a situation. I'm going on a cruise this Saturday. But I was looking at the calendar and thought it would have been beeter to go yesterday, 11/7/11. But then Friday looked even better, 11/11/11. FishonEd Posted November 27, 2011 #731 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Was at the Sands in Pa. last night and while playing craps a gentleman can to the table threw $200. on the table and said "$200. don't come" I did not pay much attention to this at the time. There were three tables going and I noticed him roaming from table to table. So my question: How would he get paid and how much? A little more info: The point was up.....$15 table...3x,4x,5x odds. He did not have odds. I did go home with $200 of their money. A good day for me. Thanks in advance ed :D
vettecruiser1 Posted November 30, 2011 #732 Share Posted November 30, 2011 They set the table min at $10 the whole cruise on the Triumph. I would play when the action was at the table but I refused to play by myself at that limit. I ask the boss and the casino manager to lower the limit and they refused. I then asked if they like having dealers stand around for hours with no action, they seem to careless. On the last day I informed the Casino manager that his tables were empty on average 3 hours a day, I played everynight for at least 4 hours and they could have had at least 3 more hours of my play if they would lowered the limits when the action was slow. Needless to say it was a company policy for $10 minimum which i then informed, that was strange since the Exctasy had a $5 min at all times. I did inform OPC about the Casino Manager and his actions. Also to note he would not rate my play unless I was playing $20 over the minimum not including the spread. Most rolls would have me waging in the $60 spread range and he would not rate. The chips would have sat behind the next number rolled and he would have won if the 7 rolled before that number rolled again and he would have lost if that number rolled again. Ezzy777 Posted March 12, 2012 #736 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't read everything in the forum. I you have come bets riding after a point is made are the On or Off during the next come out roll? I haven't played in a while but remember them AND the free odds been off on the come out roll. I downloaded a craps game on my ipad to practice and they took my numbers if the come out roll was a 7. In this simulation I also started taking my odds back as I would lose those too. Maybe I'm just fuzzy on the rules.

That is the way I always play.

Casino Player Posted June 27, 2012 #742 Share Posted June 27, 2012 Does anyone know the odds on the Craps table for Holland America ships? Thanks in advance! HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO tseliot: The odds for craps tables anyplace are the same. The House has a 1.45% edge on the Pass Line bet. The House has a slightly less edge, but, they do have the edge if you play the Don't Pass. If you take odds the House edge slips to .80%. You can't ask for a fairer game than that. If you start making bets toward the middle of the table then the House has an edge of some 11% or more.
