azcruizin Posted June 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2009 We are on the October 17, 2009 cruise with Princess leaving from Brooklyn and will be flying into New York from Phoenix, AZ and spending 2 days pre-cruise in NYC. We have never been to New York so I'm not sure which airport would be the most practical to fly in and out of for this cruise. HELP??? Cruise Critic Members are the smartest! LaGuardia but if this is an international flight JFK is where you will have to go because LGA is not an international airport.

LGA is closer to Manhattan distance wise, but smaller airport. JFK is international - more flights in and out. Both connect with parkways to Bklyn. LGA has a quick landing - a sharp turn over the sound - pilots not happy with it. As a New Yorker between both airports - prefer JFK for this reason. Final decision would be pricing and cab to hotel.
