Tuxedo rental

Recommended Posts

Hi all,
I am going to be on EOTS on October 31, 2004 and am going to be proposing on the first formal night. I might rent a tuxedo and surprise my girlfriend by dressing up that nice, but I don't know how much it would cost. Anyone know?
Anyone know how I could get a tux, put it on and surprise my girlfriend without her knowing? I already have the proposal ready in my head. This would be the final piece. We have friends on this ship so they may be able to run interference. Thanks

Hi Keeper:
Sounds like a great plan! My husband rented a tux in March, it was wonderful and it cost about $100.00. That was for two nights with different shirts and ties etc. Maybe you could have it delivered to your friends room for the surprise effect. Good Luck!

That might be a good surprise, but if she's not in a formal gown and you are in a tux, you might get a bit of a surprise also. Although the question will probably make up for it.

Cruiselineformal.com will deliver the tux right to your stateroom. Black tux and two shirts about 85$ I use them for every cruise.

If you don't have dress shoes to go with the tux, you can get those as well plus you can purchase a pair of socks form them.

If you plan on cruising more than once, then it might be more economical to just purchase a tux from one of your local Tux rental shops or online. I've done a google search and found tux's from $120 on up. I'm planning on just purchasing my own before our next cruise. I already have two cruises booked and am waiting for schedules to come out so I can book one for 2005.

Renting at $85 each time would cost me $255. I can get a fairly nice tux for that price and never have to rent again. Of course, that does mean I'll have to pack it with all my other stuff and pay for the dry cleaning.
