tract0rgirl Posted June 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2009 A couple of Harwich questions: Does Royal Caribbean have its own car park at the port and is it signposted, or is there a general car park for all cruises? When we get back to Harwich (we dock at 4am), what time do we have to be off the ship - is there a cut-off time for getting off? I was just wondering whether there was time for a quick breakfast on the ship (Jewel of the Seas) before we left for home. many thanks

TBSCruiser Posted June 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2009 You will have to be off by about 10am the latest and you will have enough time for breakfast. You have to be out of your stateroom by 8am and then have to hang out in public areas.
English Jane Posted June 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2009 The car park is a general one but does have security - it is right next to the ship. You will be given a time to leave - first ones being 7.30 - 'best' staterooms first and so on. You may also have the option to take your own stuff off first at 7 - the good thing about this is that you keep your luggage over night rather than having to put it outside the door by midnight. savva0122 Posted June 9, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Enjoy your cruise on Jewel (I presume!) Harwich is a nice port, car park is literally right next to the ship - on the first cruise we were parked literally abotu 30 metres from the ship, the second time further off, but there are no problems parking. RCI do tend to bundle you off - expect the PA to wake you areound 6/6.30 and start disembarking you.
AM Cruiser Posted June 9, 2009 #10 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Let us know how the cruise goes and how things work with the new itinerary this year. Also, which nights for formals (I'm assuming the sea days). I'm on this cruise in another month.
sddsddean Posted June 9, 2009 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2009 As said, car park is right beside the ship. It was £72 for 14 nights and there is no need to book. If you want to put your mind at ease, the phone number is 01255 242000. Simon

You will be off from around 6.00am till 8.30 depending on the colour of your luggage labels. If you book the car park a shuttle bus will be waiting for you and your luggage will be at the entrance to the car park. in colour order. If the time is to early ask reception to change it to a later time. If you are doing the St Petersburg cruise most of the ports are in walking distance of the town. Have a great cruise
