Jamaica with a 2 1/2 year old?

What to do?? It seems like Dunns River Falls has an age restriction. Would this stop us from going and not climbing the falls? Any other ideas on what to do? We're a little nervous about Jamaica to begin with, let alone with the little one.

you dont have to climb falls,there is very comfy stairs :p there is nice beach too,so go with no problem.

Yep--we did the falls, but only took the stairs that ran alongside them. They lead to a nice beach at the bottom of the falls, where you can watch people starting their climb.

I've to Dunn River falls a few years ago. It's not just the falls out in the middle of nowhere. It's somewhat of an amusement park with a beach and concessions. I would not take by 2.5 year old climbing up the falls or even on the stairs because he would be too slow and hold people up. However, it would be a good family activity in general because you can walk aboud, look at the birds and go to the beach.

 

When you book any excursion in Jamacia, make sure you will be transported in a car or bus. They sometimes book tours on pickups that have open air seats in the back. The roads and windy and it wouldn't be safe for little ones. (It's really not safe for anyone.)
