Hobiecat01 Posted June 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2009 I've heard several folks talking about no lifejacket musters but I think it varies wildly from ship to ship. DW and I just grab ours and go to the muster station about 5 min. before the muster call so we can ride the elevator down and beat the stairway crowds. -------------------- Sea ya! PhinsAndGills Posted June 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2009 On ALL my cruises, they've made us put the vests on. YUK! However, I've gotten some really cheesy pictures of DH and I in our vests...
Trainman-2 Posted June 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2009 We were on the Monarch of the Seas last week for a 4 and 3 night B2B and had to wear the life jackets both times.
rjm1cc Posted June 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2009 I can put my vest on conrrectly. However on my first cruise I had problems as I was not really following the directions. Best to actualy put it on and learn how to correctly. I have been on a ship when the alarms went off in the early morning and some passangers did put on their vests and assemble for evacuation. This is the wrong time to be learning how to put on your vest. Fortunately in my case, there was not an imeadate emergency, the crew was well traind and the problem was resolved in a few hours. sdouglas Posted June 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2009 On Majesty of the Seas two weeks ago---no life vests for the muster drill. What a relief! Captain said at the Crown and Anchor gathering it's going to be fleetwide over the summer so not sure if your cruise will be with or without them.
