Putterdude Posted June 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2009 We have been to the 22nd St. Landing Grill a couple of time now and have really enjoyed it. Walked by the Marcello restaurant on 7th St. last month and made a note to try it next time we are in San Pedro. http://www.22ndstlandingrestaurant.com/ http://www.marcellorestaurant.net/client/marcello/marcello_content.html
Bruin Steve Posted June 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2009 What are some good restaurants for a pre-cruise night dinner in San Pedro? Staying at the DoubleTree. Thanks It all depends what you want...You have choices...For most, you can get the hotel to shuttle you there and back... Aside from the 22nd St. Landing, a less pricey alternative with waterfront dining is "Acapulco"...It's part of a local Mexican chain, but perhaps their nicest location--rather than the generic chain restaurant location, it's right on the water--with outdoor patio seating in good weather...If you time an early dinner on a weekend night, you can often watch the cruise ships float by as you eat...Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is casual...Full bar with geat Margaritas...Good "Gringo" Mexican food, California style... http://www.acapulcorestaurants.com/ Up in "Downtown", near the Crowne Plaza, perhaps the best casual choice is the San Pedro Brewing Company...a very ecclectic--and reasonable--menu (and owned by one of my Bruin compadres): http://sanpedrobrewing.com/ There are several other choices in this area as well... Want Greek? These guys are Trojans...but, I guess it's okay now since the youngest son is coming to play Football at UCLA...Big brother Petros is a local (and national now) radio personality: http://www.papadakistaverna.com/ Reasonably priced Italian: http://www.nikospizzeria.com/ For expensive Italian, try J. Trani... http://jtrani.com/ That should do you for a start...
BSQ Posted June 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I'll second San Pedro Brewery. Great casual place with friendly staff. It was difficult to chose what to order because everything on the menus looked, sounded and was so very good!
