beds on coral and island princess

I was on the Coral in April and I always request an egg crate mattress from the room steward. Of course I always on every ship request it because the beds are too firm for me. But it just depends on how firm you like your bed.

We were on the Coral in February and had no trouble sleeping at all. I do suspect however, that because we were on vacation and very relaxed and with the slight movement of the ship, we could have slept anywhere.

In all seriousness, we did not find the beds too hard.

Our bed on the Coral, last month, was just fine. I tried it right after boarding and it was comfortably firm. The room steward came in later and told us he hadn't put the "egg crate" on yet. After he put it on it was even more comfortable (for me).

We were on the Coral for two weeks last September and the bed was fine, although we did request and get an egg pad put on the bed before we arrived. I don't mind firm but like comfortable also. I would request one and then if you don't need it have it removed.:)
