TIPPING for Private Tour Guide in Roatan

Booking a tour with Victor Bodden Zip and Dip probably 5 hours for my 9yr old and myself. what is a fair tip for the guide who is the driver as well

We used Victor last year, 3 couples, we gave $10 per couple( plus I gave him a cruise critic t-shirt). Six of us were traveling together,we were only ones in van, he was great.

IMO $10 or $20 per couple would be good. ken

We went with Victor Bodden a couple of years ago and had a great time. We tipped $30 for two adults and two kids.

DH and I tipped 40 as we felt the service was above and beyond. Had only been planning on tipping 20, but since we had him exclusively for the entire day and we were so pleased we decided to up it. Well worth it for the great service.

thanks for the input. i was thinking right on the amount. another mother and daughter will be going too so we will be tipping for 4 people for the guide so i feel better now. i want to be fair about it.

Our typical tip for our $80 day was $20. We felt like our guide did a great job. This year my sister gave him an extra $10 for a total of $30, but I think whatever one feels is fair is appreciated.
