Ballantyne pier and car rental

Is there a place to rent a car at Ballantyne Pier? If not, do we have to go to Canada Place for rental? If so, what is the best way to get there (with luggage)?

Ballentyne pier is in an industrial area of Vancouver. Why don't you call the major car rental companies and see if they will send a bus to pick you up?

I booked a car rental through Alamo and they have a shuttle at the Ballentyne pier that takes you to their car rental agency.

A few of the major rental car companies pick up at Ballentyne Pier. We used Alamo Rental Car, 1185 West Georgia location. We booked on-line through a link on Costco's site and got a mid-size for the compact rate ($29/USD day). I like Alamo because they usually don't charge much extra to pick up at one location and drop off at another which is perfect for pier pick up and airport drop off.

That is exactly what I did. We are picking up at the Downtown location and dropping off at the Airport. I also booked online and got a pretty good rate.

We booked through Avis. For $10, they will pick your party up at the Ballantyne Pier and take you to their Hornby Street location to get the car. They were waiting at the pier for us when we got off the ship. Just call them to set up in advance.
