Napi's Mom Posted June 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2009 If you go onto the Celebrity website, the warning about "IF oil prices rise above 65$ ....there might be a fuel Supplement added..." is right on your reservation page, wasn't there before. AND this price is right now (JUNE4) at 68$ a barrel ....Would they charge someone who's leaving in a week??? We had our 5$ per day refunded last Jan. This would be a fine "HOWDY DO" for our Cheap cruise we'd gotten for ourselves.

I'm not sure where that came from, but it probably will be added. :/
ustal Posted June 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2009 There's a cut-off date for each quarter - if oil prices are above $65/barrel on that day, they'll charge a fuel supplement. So if you're leaving in five days, you're safe, I'm pretty sure. June 17th is the deciding date for Q3, so people whose cruises leave in July, August, September might be in for a nasty surprise if things don't change sharpish :(
